July New Moon

Every new moon represents the beginning of a new archetypal program being installed into the collective and personal psyche. This means for about 28 days, a particular archetype is allowed to fully reveal its essence and power in our daily life, in our dreams, our thoughts, feelings, and emotions. The people we meet, the situations we find ourselves in, and even the memories we have will all be within the context of the archetypal energy. 

In other words, the archetype has a 28-day window to color our world, gifting us with challenges to help us recognize the blessings in our reality. Working in accordance with this window of opportunity, we can be sure that we are on time within our life’s path, so that we can avoid regret.

No matter what our work or destiny is, we will surf the archetypal new moon wave in the same way we can listen to whatever we want while on an airplane that is destined to land at its destination.

The first two weeks after any new moon, the moon builds light momentum as it inhales energy sliver-by-sliver, sign-by-sign, and particle-by-particle. After the moon reaches its climatic point, at the full moon, it then begins to exhale the light as the dark side of the moon comes forth—preparing itself to become new again and take another big breath.

The New Moon in Cancer on July 6, 2024 marks the beginning of a 28-day cycle, and we will need to shift our focus and way of accomplishing our personal growth and goals into a new light which will of course have to do with all things Cancer: home, family, aspirations and emotions - learn more in the Cancer Workshop.

There is a reason why people like talking about their childhood and family stories. It’s almost like a type of catharsis of self-discovery, a break and time to reflect and see why we are acting or living in the way that we do. Most certainly, this lunar cycle will give us the chance to look within and see why we have chosen the life we are living now. During this new moon, we are free to program new realities, new goals, and new habits. Whether it’s a new job, new car, new relationship, new routine, new flow, new app, new website, new growth, new income, new progress, but remember, it will all fall within the domain of Cancer.

During the Cancer New Moon, we have a powerful opportunity to impress new emotions onto our reality. However, it's important to address any underlying issues that might contaminate our new slate.

As we learn about the Truth of our life, we too, will look at our familiar stories. Know that it is almost certain that the work we do in the realm of home and family will ripple out into other relationships. Whether we are dealing with a lineage of karmic density that wants to be resolved, or a repressed heritage of hatred and rage—do not act it out, but do not resist it either. It wants to come to shore so that healing can integrate it in. We need to remain mature, strong, and courageous if we want to unlearn early family training and the accompanying attitudes that we hold onto only because it’s familiar and what we know.

We all have a story, and some of us have many. Sometimes we get so caught up in them that we forget that we can change our story if we wish too. Our horoscopes help us shatter illusions as they tell us about our stories, and in most cases, our astrological charts give us an objective perspective so that we can look at our lives with fresh eyes.

Astrology is just a tool to help us overcome and transcend our karma. But we can only do it by utilizing our free will. In order to utilize our free will, we need to have some amount of control over our ego because the ego is in charge of our free will.

If we don’t have control over our expressive ego, our chances to consciously overcome our astrology are slim. What usually happens is that the stars filter our experiences like a movie script that cannot be changed. We suffer through it, learn our lessons, and then (hopefully) we cultivate the desire to do things differently. But this can all be avoided when we are continuously working with our charts with the help of a teacher who will be honest with us and guide us into taking the next steps.
